🏀 Warren Avenue Pee Wees – 2025 Basketball Registration

Warren Avenue would like to invite all kids ages 5–13 to register for the 2025 Basketball Season! We’ve gathered answers to your most common questions below. Please review carefully so you’re ready to get started.

📍 Check Your Boundaries

Players must live within our boundaries to register. If you are in the Kitsap Lake, West Hill STEM Academy, Crownhill Elementary, or Naval Avenue Elementary school zones, you are in our area!

🗓 Registration Information

• Online Registration: Opens August 20th (credit card only) and closes December 1st.
• Early Bird Discount: Until September 30th → $25 off regular price.
• In-Person Registration:

  📍 Warren Avenue Clubhouse (1017 Warren Ave, Bremerton)
  💵 Cash/check accepted – full payment required at time of registration.

🎯 Age Groups (based on age as of August 31, 2025)

• AA String – Age 13
• A String – Age 12
• B String – Age 11
• C String – Age 10
• D String – Age 9
• E String – Ages 7–8
• EE (Instructional) – Ages 5–6

💲 Registration Fees

• Early Bird (Aug 20 -Sept 30): $165 (AA–E), $125 (EE)
• Regular (Oct 1–Dec 1): $190 (AA–E), $150 (EE)
• Late (After Dec 1): $215 (AA–E), $175 (EE)

⚠️ Fees must be paid in full (with verification on record) before players are placed on a team, can practice, or receive a uniform.

💡 What does my registration fee cover?

Your fee supports gym rentals, uniforms, equipment, officials, insurance, training aids, field/clubhouse maintenance, utilities, and more. As a nonprofit, our program runs almost entirely on registration fees.

🎓 Scholarships

• Scholarships are limited and donation-based.
• Must be requested at in-person registration (October 20th through 23rd).
• Families awarded scholarships are required to volunteer.
• All scholarship requests will be reviewed at the December 10th, 2025 Board Meeting.
• No new scholarship requests will be considered after 12/10/25.
• If awarded a partial scholarship, balances must be paid by the first scheduled game for eligibility.

🏀 Season Details

• Practices Begin: The Monday after Thanksgiving.
• Practice Locations:
  
• Younger strings → West Hills & Crownhill
• Middle strings → Kitsap Lake
• Older strings → BSD Admin Gym, Old East High Gym, Mountain View MS, Naval Ave (as available)
• 
  
• Games: Start mid-January. Most teams play 1–2 games per week.
• Season Ends: Mid-March with playoffs/tournament (AA–E strings).

👟 What should players bring?

• Athletic shoes & practice clothes (shorts/t-shirt)
• Mouthguards (recommended for older players and those with braces)

🔄 Playing Up or Down

• Play Down: Rare; must be approved by Warren Ave Board & Central Council (Silverdale).
• Play Up: Allowed with Warren Ave Board approval, but we encourage players to stay within their age bracket.
